Robin Alexander has done it again with a sweet, funny, romantic story about finding love after a breakup and finding a soul to match your own.Robin keeps her trademark sense of humor in this story as she does with her other tales, but it is always well balanced with the romance and laugh-out-loud. It is like watching a good sitcom, where you know it will be fun, but the laughter is in the surprise of when it comes, and how well it is set up.With that being said, the romantic portion is wonderful, too. You get to know the characters, with their inner musings and doubts, and look forward to cheering them on their journey to each other and happiness.All supporting characters are fun to get to know, too. They each have their roles to play and it is fun to see how they contribute to the main story. I just wish I had some neighbors and family like I read about in Robin's tales....or then again, maybe not, lol. They are all quite entertaining!There was an interesting premise to the book, with the story being told to another person who was conducting an interview of the romantic leads for a project she was working on. I liked this. It allowed for an easy transition from the characters in present day, to the characters relating their history from the past.Robin's writing is always 'smooth' and dialogue flows naturally. This kind of book is what Sunday afternoons are for; relaxing on the couch, having a warm cup of tea close by, and becoming lost in the enjoyment of a story from a masterful teller of romantic tales. Highly recommend. Extremely funny book. I found myself laughing myself to tears more than once but I do have to say that anyone that writes about chocolate chip and cauliflower cookies is one sick and twisted person. The thought has me shuddering just mentioning it. I’ll be sniffing my chocolate chip cookies for months looking cauliflower traces. Great book. A must read!
